DANIEL BOONE

Daniel Boone was the most famous of early pioneers. He helped open the great land beyond the Appalachians. Daniel Boone got his first rifle when he was 12 years old. He knew every trail through the forest. Daniel was friendly with the Indians and learned many of their ways. Daniel was a soldier when he was very young.

Daniel Boone’s wife and daughter were the first white women to come to Boonesborough. In 1775 Daniel led some settlers over the mountains.
