Chapter Two

The Grasshopper's Adventure

by

McCall Guttridge

The grasshopper wasn't found by the class for two whole days. He was so quiet that even "Slam," the security man, didn't see him.

The next day, Mrs. Pucciarello was getting ready for Savannah's reading test. The grasshopper heard her say, "Do a good job!" He thought she should too.

The grasshopper jumped out of his new home, which was behind the Reading Cave and landed on Mrs. Pucciarello's head! She said, "What in the world is that?" McCall said, "There is a grasshopper on your head!"

Mrs. Pucciarello screamed, "Get this thing off of me!" Hunter got it off. The grasshopper was so scared from her yelling that he jumped back behind the Reading Cave. He thought, "I love Mrs. Pucciarello's class!"
