Chapter Four

How The Grasshopper Got His Name

by

Savannah Ewing

One day, Hunter decided the grasshopper should have a name. Everyone in Mrs. Pucciarello's class agreed. They all wrote down the name they wanted on a piece of paper. Everybody wrote "George." So, the grasshopper was named, "George!"

The next day, Bo saw the grasshopper and said, "There's Georgel" Then Scott said, "Maybe we should make a crown for him and a throne made out of leather. We can make him king of the classroom!"

All the children worked to make the crown and throne for George. When it was finished, they put it on Mrs. Pucciarello's desk. That is where George sat each day during lesson time.
