School was about to begin. Mrs. Pucciarello opened the door at 8:20 to let everyone come inside. When it was time for seatwork, Nick got his work done early. Mrs. Pucciarello said he could go to the Reading Cave. He noticed George was doing his work in the cave.

George said, "Hi, Nick!" Nick said, "What are you doing?" George replied, "I am copying my spelling words." Then George asked Nick if he could come home with him for the summer break. Nick said, "Summer break lasts three months. Are you sure you won't miss your home too much and Mrs. Pucciarello?" George thought for a moment, "That is true," he said, "but I can take pictures and send post cards to Mrs. Pucciarello." Nick told George he could come home with him for the summer.

While George and Nick waited for Nick's mom to pick them up, George asked, "What are we going to do this summer?" Nick told him they would be going to Disney World in Florida. George said, "Yeah! I like trips!"

When Nick's mom picked them up from school she drove them home to Nick's house. Nick showed George his trampoline and they jumped on it. Then, they watched a movie on the big screen T.V. Nick and George pretended the house was a movie theatre.

Later, George and Nick got out their scooters. They rode their scooters all over the house and into Nick's bedroom. Nick's room looked like a Western town. George hopped up on Nick's bunk bed. From up in the bed, George spied an aquarium containing two lizards. George asked Nick, "Who are they?" Nick said, "Those are my lizards and that is their home." George asked Nick to introduce him to his lizard friends.

Nick carefully picked up George and placed him inside the aquarium with the two lizards. Nick made the introductions. The lizard's names were Rex and Lizzy. They all gave each other high fives and became friends. They played together for the rest of the day.

George was having a great time at Nick's house, but he was anxious to visit Disney World. A week later Nick's mom said it was time to go! She drove them to the airport.

Nick and George played a game called "I Spy" on the airplane. Four hours later, Nick's mom said they were in Florida. George stood up in his seat and danced around screaming, "Yeah, yipee, we are here, we're here, we're here, we're here!" Everyone on the plane stared at George, so he sat down and played "I Spy" again. He hoped everyone would forget all about him screaming and dancing on the plane.
