George Gets Picked For The Covered Wagon

by

Jackson Turner

Each day Mrs. Pucciarello picks a special student to do his seatwork in the covered wagon. Today, George got picked. He turned to the class and said, "Yes!" Then he began to scream. George hopped on his scooter and drove it all around the classroom to celebrate. He went wild jumping from desk to desk. Mrs. Pucciarello said to George, "You need to pull a card."

George pulled his card, but this time he did it calmly. He didn't go to the cave crying because he had to pull a card. He just sat down quietly and acted like he never pulled a card.

Then, Mrs. Pucciarello gave everyone a test. George got an A+++. He was happy and then he worked hard on his seatwork. He finished his work early and got to play on the computer.
